What Is Rebuild Yourself

Welcome to Rebuild Yourself and thank you for trusting me with the next 12 weeks of your fitness programming.

The goal of this program is to rebuild your body to look, move and perform better.  And in the process, you’ll learn a smart, sustainable approach to fitness. One that has a strong carryover to life outside the gym.

Before we get down to the nitty gritty, I want to give a quick background story into how this program came about. Over the past decade, I’ve been deep in the trenches. I’ve learned from world renowned strength and conditioning experts and experimented with various training methods. I’ve combined this with thousands of hours working with clients as both a trainer and soft tissue therapist. It’s safe to say, I’ve learned a few things.

There’s also my own personal experience with training…

In my early 20’s, my goals were centred on building muscle and strength. It was all about a great physique. I got one but it came at a cost. Aches and pains would always flare up, particularly around my knees and shoulders. My mobility was appalling. Warm ups took an embarrassing length of time. I struggled through exercises like barbell back squats and overhead presses. During a yearlong experiment with a pure bodybuilding plan, I packed 10kg onto my frame. But I felt unfit and was constantly battling tiredness and fatigue.

Around my mid to late 20’s, I decided enough was enough. I knew this would NOT be sustainable. Besides, I wanted to actually be fit and healthy, not just look half decent naked.

So I learned more.

I experimented more.

And I adopted a well-rounded approach to training.

After lots of trial and error, I discovered that there was a synergy between ‘functional’ weight training, cardio and mobility, if it was intelligently programmed.

 And the best part?

It didn’t take away from the body I built. It enhanced it. Now, at the ripe old age of 30 (jokes), I have cleared up all aches and pains. I look good, move well and most importantly - feel fantastic.

 I REBUILT my body.

And now I’m going to help you do the same.
